We have created the Essential Skills one day course for busy people! The training is designed for those wanting to enhance or refresh their skills as a Butler or Housekeeper, or for those who are new to the profession and want a “taster day” rather than committing themselves or their finances to a longer course.
The cost is £200 + VAT for one day (9.30 – 4.30pm) including a light lunch.
There will be an introduction to the world of private service, roles and responsibilities and the priorities of the employer. Then there is a practical session on the service of food and drink in the dining room, including laying the table for a formal dinner. Our housekeeping session then follows, looking at cleaning products and methods, as well as organisation of a cleaning schedule. We continue with suitcase packing, silver cleaning and top tips on how to get the perfect job.
This is an intensive day where students get to roll up their sleeves and learn practical skills. A certificate will be issued for those who attend the course.
